Thank you for auditioning. We were very impressed with the wealth of talent you all bring to the table. For callbacks we are only calling back actors we need to see again or need to see read a specific role to help in our decision making. If you are not on this list it does not mean you aren't cast in a role. We feel comfortable casting some of these roles without seeing you act again. Please don't try too hard to get in to our heads!
The callback scenes are attached at the bottom if you did not get one today. If you would like a hard copy Mrs. Isaacs has extra in her room. Please bring your copy to callbacks (We won't have a ton extra there for you).
Thursday 2:45 - 4:15 in the choir room. Please be early.
Cole Van Gerpen
Fletcher Van Buren
Isabella Richter de Medeiros
Mary Kate Crittenden
The Spring Play Audition times (for Tuesday, 3/11- Wednesday, 3/12) are listed on the pdf document below! They were also e-mailed out to student e-mails listed in the actor audition application.
Remember you need a 1-2 monologue memorized for your audition. Please be sure to arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled audition time. Be sure to bring your signed parent permission form along with, too. Break a leg! ;-)
Tuesday Auditions will now be held from 2:45-4:30 instead of 4:00-6:00pm! We apologize for any inconvenience this causes! If this affects anyone who has already signed up, we will be e-mailing them personally.
Thank you for your flexibility!
And the MSHS 2014 Spring Play is.......
BACKWOODS ROMEO by John Nash, Revised by J.C. Mullen
A comedy in 3 acts including 3 male lead characters, 7 female lead characters, and 4 supporting women characters!
Orphaned as a child to be raised by his scientist uncle deep in the Canadian woods, Romeo Montague has never set eyes upon a woman in his over twenty-one years. That is all about to change when two Americans - Larry McNeil and Rex Simons - stumble across him in the woods and invite him to visit them in the States. He arrives to find a house full of women, including Larry's two outgoing sisters, Connie and Billie, and LaReina, the Spanish maid. Throw in Larry's expected fiance Orpha, the vivacious Aunt Rachel, and a bevy of Amazon furniture repossessors and poor Romeo faces a veritable female overload. However, he handles it all with aplomb and even manages to save Larry's inheritance, Rex's smashed car, and the family furniture. As befitting this gentle romantic comedy, the play ends with kisses all around.
The 2014 Spring Play audition information and materials can be found under the "Spring Play" tab. Auditions are next Tuesday, March 11th and Wednesday, March 12th... so be sure to go check everything out SOON! :-) We can't wait for another great show with the talented MSHS Thespians!
There are also forms for Tech Crew, Stage Manager, and our newest position Junior Director!
